Welcome to this week's installment of the Weekly Wall of Fame! The Department has been getting so many submissions for the Weekly Fishing and Stocking Report that it's impossible to fit all of them in – but we wanted to give everyone who submits a photo a chance to show off their catch! From now on, the Weekly Fishing and Stocking Report will feature one photo from each region as that region's Catch of the Week. All other photos can be found here in the Weekly Wall of Fame, which will be updated each Thursday afternoon after the Fishing and Stocking Report is released. You'll be able to find the link on the Fishing and Stocking Report page on the Department's website. Please note that only submissions with photos included will be considered for inclusion in the Catch of the Week or Weekly Wall of Fame.
NORTHEAST
Hopewell Lake: Jaylynn caught her first-ever trout using Garlic PowerBait on June 26.
NORTHWEST
Bluewater Lake: Jared Fishburn caught a tiger muskie using a spinnerbait on June 25.
Jemez Waters: Jeremiah caught seven trout, including four fairly large ones, using PowerBait on June 26. “He had been asking to go fishing,” his mother, Monique Martinez, said. “Who better to ask to go with us than our Grandpa Joe? To say a blast was had is an understatement!”
San Juan River: Joseph Rodriguez (top) caught five brown trout using a spinner in the bait section on June 24. Kevin Physioc (above left), his mother and stepfather (above right) each caught and released three brown trout using tuna bait mixed with a flower in the bait section on June 23.

Trees Lake: Alex Sanchez caught two catfish using nightcrawlers with a clear bobber on June 29.
SOUTHEAST
Alto Lake: Dustin Bray of Alamogordo caught this blue catfish using live nightcrawlers on June 29.
Carlsbad Municipal Lake: Brandon Wilson caught five catfish using chicken liver on June 22.
Lake Van: Mason (left, fish not pictured) and his two kids all reeled in their first catfish caught on a lure – a black-and-gold foxtail spinner – on June 30. “I couldn’t have been more excited,” Mason said. “Cherry on top, both of my kids caught their very first fish as well. We all used that green youth pole.” Alyssa Vasquez (right) caught five catfish – her first catches of 2025 – using nightcrawlers on June 28.
